Founded in Berlin in 1921 by Johannes and Ludwig Wagner Jr. (the sons of the founder of the Ludwig Wagner foundry) together with Johannes’s brother-in-law, Willy Jahr, by taking over the Steinkamp foundry. Facilities destroyed in 1945. Remains were concentrated in the western part of the city (dba Johannes Wagner, Berlin-West). Moved to Ingolstadt in 1949, see Johannes Wagner. Norddeutsche Schriftgießerei was continued in in East Berlin by Emil Mori and Maria Sauer from 1945 to 1960 and then folded into Typoart. [Klingspor Museum (pdf)]
