Successor to Eduard Haenel’s foundry which had been moved to Berlin in 1838. Former manager Karl Wilhelm Gronau (died 1887) acquired the business in 1864, now named Wilhelm Gronaus Buchdruckerei und Schriftgießerei. The printing office was split off in 1905. The type foundry was acquired by Klingspor in 1918. [Klingspor-Museum]
